CurrentI lead a content team specializing in promoting travel and tourism for Destination Marketing Organizations.CONTENT STRATEGY: research and collaborate with internal and client teams to plan for the creation, delivery, and governance of effective content used to market and advertise destinations, including content I create, assign to freelancers or the client. Tools include Voyage (Madden’s program), Google Analytics, Google Console and SEMRush. Work with SEO team to identify existing content optimizations to boost organic search and develop new content to meet user needs.COPYWRITING: write copy for websites, video and Spotify scripts, articles, print and digital ads, social media and banner ads, billboards, email marketing with drip campaigns, chatbots and concepting brand position for annual or seasonal campaigns. Contract freelance writers and influencers, including travel plans when needed and editing. Post content to client websites using CMS software and WordPress.VIDEO: plan and execute videos with videographer, including identifying feature subjects, pre-interviews and travel for in-person filmed videos to meet the client’s strategy. Work with designers to develop scripted animated videos, sizzle reels, and digital media videos.WEBSITES: perform content audits and analyze data to make recommendations for new and redeveloped websites following UI/UX best practices. Propose and pitch site maps and content plans. Create posts and pages using WordPress. Collaborate with clients and our SEO experts to make recommendations to improve performance using data collected from Google Analytics, Google Console and SEMRush. Use Optimal Workshop to launch card sort, tree jack and prototype tests.RFPs: proof RFPs for grammar and spelling, develop spec ads, pitch narrative, and join the pitch call with prospective clients when necessary.MANAGEMENT: lead a team of five content strategists, developing talent and overseeing projects.
