    I am so very happy to announce that in September of 2024, I had the privilege of becoming an Indigenous Relationship Partner with EBC Inc. I am proud to join EBC's efforts towards relationship building for our company in relation to major projects in the Ottawa region, located on the unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin Territory. Initially, my role is to engage and collaborate with Indigenous communities, groups, and leaders; to build relationships and listen to the history and stories and needs of others, so that this knowledge can guide our efforts in the work we perform, and how we perform it. This initial focus is on the 11 Algonquin communities with territorial claims in the Ottawa region, and will also expand to other communities where we can continue to build and grow relationships.I will share opportunities for community and individual development, employment, and investment, and I hope to build mutually beneficial relationships through these opportunities and investments. Furthermore, I hope to encourage youth and adults to join efforts in building Canada's future, by developing their skills in STEM and skilled trades, looking for opportunities to collaborate and align needs and efforts both in and out of community. I am excited for this new chapter and the opportunity that EBC has provided to me in my 10th year with this organization.
