Stacey Kielbasa is the Chief Talent Officer at Chapman and Cutler LLP. She has been with the Firm her entire career—more than 20 years—first as a summer associate, then as an associate in the public finance department, and for the last 17 years, in a professional development role. She currently oversees lawyer Human Resources, the Firm’s Summer Associate Program, and the Firm's Professional Development, Diversity, Pro Bono and Recruiting initiatives. She is also a part of the Firm’s internal management team. Under Stacey’s leadership, Chapman and Cutler has been recognized as a top firm for women by Working Mother magazine and a top firm for LGBT equality by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. With a Master’s degree in education, Stacey also worked with Firm leadership to establish the Chapman Leadership Academy, a first-of-its-kind training and development curriculum designed to prepare senior associates for partnership. Stacey is a Past President of NALP and has been a member since 2001. She was recently appointed a Trustee on the NALP Foundation Board of Trustees. Stacey is also involved with the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, the Chicago Area Legal Personnel Administrators, the Chicago Professional Development Consortium, and the National Professional Development Consortium and SHRM. Stacey received her JD from the University of Illinois College of Law, magna cum laude, her Master of Education from the University of Illinois College of Education, and her BA, magna cum laude, from Notre Dame.
