• To performance manage the gynaecology In-patient waiting list for an 18 bed core gynaecology ward and also performance managed the Short Stay Surgical Unit (SSSU) gynaecology waiting list
• To schedule and arrange additional theatre sessions for breach patients, including the pre-selection of patients and sourcing all associated clinical and non-clinical staff
• To be point of contact for ‘Access 2009’ stakeholders such as the Local Health Boards, ‘Second Offer’ providers and sub-contractors such as St. Johns Ambulance etc.Achievements:
• Reduced the gynaecology waiting list from a maximum of 52 week wait to 16 weeks
• Assisted with the £16m ‘Womens Service Review’ (WSR) which improved the healthcare of women, mothers and babies throughout the Cardiff & Vale locality.

• To implement, manage and deliver the Welsh Assembly Government waiting list project ‘Access 2009’ within gynaecology
• To line manage 17 medical secretaries across two sites
• To develop and maintain an overall high quality, cost effective and efficient service within specific time management frames, trust policy, government legislation, Service and Financial Framework (SaFF) and Service.
• To implement new strategies and improved processes whilst identifying Cost Reduction Plans (CRP).
