Stacey L. Pratt’s practice focuses on employment litigation, other complex civil litigation matters, and civil appeals. Ms. Pratt has comprehensive experience litigating employment matters including those involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, trade secret issues, defamation, unfair competition, breach of contract, and employment and arbitration agreements. She has represented employers, directors, and executives in employment matters in a variety of forums, including state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Ms. Pratt also has substantial experience in complex business, consumer, and insurance litigation, as well as an expertise in insurance coverage.Ms. Pratt also has extensive appellate experience in the state and federal courts, having handled more than 100 civil appeals and writs to completion. She has also consulted frequently on post-trial motions and other strategic issues in preparation for appeal. Based on her extensive appellate experience, when representing clients in employment litigation matters Ms. Pratt is able to best position each case for the possibility of appeal by fully preserving the record. She has also developed a keen ability to assess the likelihood of success of specific litigation strategies at both the trial and appellate levels.
