I strongly believe in supporting advisers to provide a quality service to our customers who are looking for work and learning opportunities. I have managed a training budget to provide a wide and varied National Careers Service training programme to approximately 200 advisers from 20 subcontractor organisations. I have also monitored staff performance in line with quality standards and our organisation received a recommendation from Ofsted for 'very good training & development activities are provided to staff to improve their effectiveness'.

Igen Leeds

My duties included building a strong cohort of IAG subcontractors in the Leeds area and in providing training to improve their careers advice services. Networking and linking with other external organisations to improve their knowledge of our next step IAG services in Leeds and building our subcontractor knowledge of partner services through organising talks and regular partnership meetings. I have also managed IAG ESF funded contracts.

As a careers adviser working in the college I worked with students aged 16+ to mature students from a wide educational and social backgrounds. I offered advice on further & higher educational opportunities, on apprenticeships and job search. I worked on the main campus and out in the community. I also worked for Bradford and Shipley colleges as an NVQ assessor working with advisers taking IAG NVQ 3 and 4 qualifications.
