I collaborated with clients to create or adjust treatment plans and to work toward their treatment goals by providing evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic strategies/modalities. I facilitated the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group via telehealth.I connected clients to internal services (medication management, primary care, supported employment, housing assistance, group therapy, case management, peer services) and provided case management, including referrals, for services in the community.

I assisted with coordinating logistics for various events and trainings, including Oregon Housing Alliance lobby days and their annual conference for advocates and financial education providers. I also connected potential Oregon IDA Initiative participants to providers all over Oregon and performed data entry for IDA Initiative donations and the program's evaluative reports. I worked with collaborative teams in the organization to optimize efficiency by problem solving and utilizing new resources. I supported the organization's diversity, equity, and inclusion work by participating in the benefit committee's restructuring of the employee benefits package and by leading organizational accountability efforts for making events and communications more accessible.I provided technological and administrative support, including but not limited to event tech troubleshooting, website management, listserv and mass-email management and creation using Mailchimp , survey and form creation, back-end data programming in Salesforce, and creating and/or editing graphics and marketing tools using software like Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Elements, and Canva.

Communicated and collaborated with an integrated team of medical professionals, including MDs, NPs, Medical Assistants, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and a Registered Dietician, in order to provide quality care to patients.Provided brief intervention for patients with a variety of mental and physical health needs, including smoking cessation, SPMI, suicidal ideation, ADHD, chronic pain, diabetes, alcohol and controlled substance dependency, anxiety and depression, and medication management. Provided referrals for community resources (e.g., acupuncture, counseling, LGBTQQI+ affirming care, housing, food, etc.) Documented work in the EPIC electronic records system.

I provided case management and emotional support to clients living with HIV. I also attended trauma-informed care, HIV network, and OHP assister meetings and I recruited businesses to participate in the organization's annual fundraiser.I also assisted with client intakes, acquiring client healthcare and Ryan White eligibility documents, and care coordination/advocacy with medical providers, Oregon Health Plan, and a SSD attorney.

I supported clients with eating disorders through triggering situations, redirected eating disorder food behaviors and encouraged behavior that was in line with each client’s individual treatment contract. I collaborated with the clinical team to suggest adjustments to client contracts as necessary. I largely worked in the day treatment clinic called Eating Disorder Center of Eugene, but occasionally worked at the Eating Disorder Center of Portland and the residential facility Rainrock Treatment Center. I ate and helped prepare facility meals and snacks with clients, following protocol and acting as a positive role model around relationship with food and interpersonal communication. I monitored client safety before and after meals and assisted clients in using DBT (mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness & distress tolerance) skills.I observed and charted for processing, nutrition, DBT and soul-self related groups and audited client charts.

I assisted research studies by placing EEG (electroencephalography) nets on undergraduate and child participants in the Brain and Behavior Lab. The project was titled "Attention, Self-Regulation, and Psychopathology in Children and Young Adolescents" (Hiatt Racer, 2009-2012).I recorded the EEG brain wave data, administered surveys, used SPSS and Excel for data entry, and scanned confidential documents.
