What started out as a filler job led me to an 18+ year career at a top name communications company, and a 20+ year career in the telecommunications industry.While contemplating a career change years ago, I accepted a position at Motorola. I suddenly found that I had a great skill of being able to step into new roles, quickly identify the processes needed to be successful, and adapt to the needs of the company to contribute to its successes. I loved the challenges that were presented to me with each new role and responsibility, and I loved being someone who mattered and made a difference. Throughout my time at Motorola, that flexibility paid off. I was fortunate to expand my skills and experience into a large range of capabilities. Customer service allowed me to build relationships, elicit trust and understanding, and focus on communication which I later used to inspire my team to do the same. My experience in e-Commerce gave me the ability to understand consumer needs, purchasing patterns, and likes and dislikes. Product Launch Management allowed me to grow in Supply Chain functions and led to an ability to interface among many functions, regions, and countries, to achieve a goal on a tight schedule.My later roles required me to interface directly with Motorola's largest and most critical customers. I gained a strong working knowledge of their processes, requirements, and operational needs. My interaction with those companies required a strong relationship with the customer, standard processes that allowed us to be successful, clear communications, and a robust collaborative planning process. I interacted daily with partners around the globe, including Latin America, Europe, India, and China. I was later able to transition that knowledge to a new company and use my skills to manage one of their largest customers. I have enjoyed the unique and diverse cultures that I have worked with, Each day is a new challenge, and each day is a new opportunity.
