Lake San Marcos Country Club

NCWIN is a business to business networking group that annually raises scholarship money to donate to deserving students at CSUSM in San Marcos. We meet for lunch on the second Wednesday of each month, with the exception of July. We have excellent speakers, tasty buffet dining and wonderful professional women to network with.

If you can visualize it, I can create it. My background experience over the past two decades has been with various San Diego print publications and from working freelance from home.When it comes to being challenged, I have championed every project that one can imagine. From working at the high-stress, deadline-oriented newspapers to becoming self-employed… some of my accomplishments include product catalogs, booklets, banners, book covers, brochures, logos, magnet signs, trade-show graphics, etc... no job is too small or too large.My background in problem-solving really has been an asset for seeing a project from start through completion. Having a photographic background also gives me the eye for composition, balance and color. If you are challenged in the marketing arena - I can help with that as well. Team Women began in 2005 to help women market their businesses to other women business owners, as well as the people they knew. I joined Team Women because I saw the vision of Team Women's founder was to help other women in business succeed in business. Shortly after joining, I was elected president, which was a position that was to be only 4 short months. It turned into 8 months and at the end of my term, the members of the Carlsbad group decided to vote for me to be the Team Women President of the Year - 2006.Not only was the forum a great way to grow a business, but also a way to learn leadership, speaking abilities and how to build a huge network of professionals who can help refer people they know, to your business.

As an advertising artist, I was responsible for creating advertisements on the computer to make them ready for the press. Some of the other job requirements were to create cover designs for special sections of the newspaper as well as creating ads for speculation, for the ad reps to take out to potential clients. This position was very educational and I love being creative - but didn't enjoy the daily deadlines and working over time hours. I quit my job to go home and freelance.
