Educator and Social Scientist enjoys working with middle school ("The Forgotten Middle") and university students. Earned doctorate in Social Science and has taught on all levels of education from kindergarten to upper-division university courses. I have demonstrated excellent teaching effectiveness by receiving outstanding evaluations on a university level while teaching courses in the field of Sociology and African American Studies. I was also instrumental in improving students’ scores on Periodic District Assessments and California Standardized Tests on middle school level. Recently, I conducted an independent research on NCLB and various schools in the Los Angeles Unified School to assess their likelihood of attaining Proficiency in English/Language Arts and Mathematics by 2014.
