I have 10 years of customer satisfaction as well as front office experience. In my current role, I lead other registrars in a very busy, fast paced, outpatient check in facility. We are the front line and the first point of contact upon entering the hospital. I believe in having a team with exceptional customer service skills, strong work ethic and a love for all people. What sets my team apart is that we have the understanding that you never know what someone is going through so always be kind and offer a genuine smile. I am also responsible for doing our department deposits as well as multiple other departments within the hospital. I work closely with my manager and supervisor to ensure our team is running efficiently and effectively by running monthly audits on patient accounts and providing timely feedback to correct errors or celebrate successes. After only 1 year as a registration specialist, I was promoted to a Lead position. I’ve received multiple recognitions for my interactions with patients and going “above and beyond”. Being recognized is not what drives me though. Feeling like I made a difference, brightened at least one persons day, made someone feel loved or important..that’s what drives me. All the rest of my daily responsibilities are just an added bonus to do what I am called to do, and that’s to serve and to lead.
