Stacia Tyson is a committed 2L at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, also pursuing an MBA at the Kelley School of Business. She is passionate about the intersection of business and criminal law, aiming to leverage her dual-degree education to bring a strategic, interdisciplinary approach to legal challenges.Currently, Stacia is an intern at Banks & Brower LLC, where she focuses on discovery review, legal analysis, and drafting legal documents. Her role provides hands-on experience in criminal defense, allowing her to apply her academic learning to real-world cases.Stacia's legal journey has been shaped by diverse internships and professional roles. At The Boyce Law Firm, she drafted motions, conducted client interviews, and collected evidence for both criminal and civil cases. Her time at the Circuit Court Prosecutor's Office of Grant County offered valuable courtroom exposure, where she managed pre-trial evidence and observed proceedings such as Drug Court and Veteran's Court.Additionally, as a Paralegal at Legal Aid of North Carolina, Stacia provided crucial legal assistance to low-income clients, handling issues ranging from landlord-tenant disputes to family law matters. She also served as a Rental Assistance and Tenants Rights Advocate for Wake County Government, facilitating rental assistance applications and educating the community on legal procedures.Stacia's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish from North Carolina A&T State University, where she graduated magna cum laude while balancing full-time employment.
