Positions held: Collections Customer Service Representative, Late Stage Collections, and Collections - Legal/Specialty GroupThe primary responsibility of this role is to take ownership of account handling, maintenance, collection and liquidation for assigned portfolios and support the Collections department's objective to be accountable for accurate and timely handling of all aspects of customer account maintenance and transactions. On a daily basis, work directly with Dealers, Dealer Sales and Service Operations, Managers, and customers in collecting money and collateral to reduce losses. Not to mention many other departments within the organization.• Handling escalated customer accounts by using effective call skills and de-escalation techniques.• Collections queue management including repossession reviews, cease & desist, and impound intakes.• Utilizing all collection tools available to maintain delinquencies and losses at or below objectives.• Accountable for accurate and timely handling of all aspects of customer account maintenance and transactions.Late Stage/Specialty-Legal• Account ownership for follow up and resolution.• Working effectively as part of a team to complete account follow up handling inbound calls for accounts owned by others.• Retrieving payment history and clearly communicating the status to the customer.• Analyzing account characteristics and working with customers to resolve their issues, persuading them to bring their account current.• Utilizing all collection tools available to maintain delinquencies and losses at or below Customer Service Center objectives.
