Hello! I was so happy to get my RN as a new single mom! I basically grew up at the hospital system I worked for as a CNA. I got my RN, gave them some of my time as an RN, and then began travel nursing where I was thrown in to everything and basically got all of my multiple areas of experience! I have been a charge nurse, I have worked in oncology, medical surgical, telemetry, cardio thoracic open heart, step down units, and orthopedic. I am always the one they throw everywhere. I am also the one they assign to a difficult patient who needs someone who will work to their needs and have alot of patience. I have been called many times to take over a patient because of my personality and ability to handle a difficult patient. I have received many accolades. Unfortunately in 2020, my daughter was one of the children who suffered due to covid mentally. She had a mental health crisis and I ended up having to leave the system I worked for to care for her. She had been diagnosed with an illness medically that needed my full attention. I had to take a break from nursing. I had a wonderful director who believed in "family first" and supported me in my decison. I am interested now in some remote work. Or a positon who has a flexible schedule where I can work from home mostly. I am getting ready to enroll to finish my Masters in Clinical Leadership because I always wanted to finish. I have also been a clinical couch, training new nurses, and also a preceptor. I love being a nurse!
