Duties: Job Seekers: • Interview high volumes of job seekers to collect detailed occupational information• In order to identify barriers inhibiting a successful job search I have to give full attention to what the person is saying to understand what they are trying to convey and then I ask appropriate questions to identify their strengths/weaknesses and form conclusions or approaches to help remove employment barriers for job seekers• As the UI Navigator, I have to talk effectively and clearly in order to convey information• At times, I have to teach job seekers how to use a computer and the internetBusiness: • Develop and maintain knowledge of existing, new, or expanding businesses, business organizations, labor unions, community based organizations, and employment and training providers• Answer questions on labor market conditions, wages, and employment trends• Encourage and build trust, respect and cooperation among businesses • Follow regulations and procedures on a daily basis

Duties: • Receive a high volume of customer information through automated entry from telephone and/or internet systems• Simultaneously enter claims information and documentation into computerized database for all types of initial, additional and continued claims including: Oregon intrastate and complex claims such as interstate, combined wage claims, military and federal claims, disaster unemployment and extended benefit claims
