Hello, I'm Staci Dennison, a dedicated and experienced secondary Spanish teacher with a passion for education and fostering cultural understanding. With a strong background in language instruction, I have been teaching Spanish at Creston Intermediate Middle School since 2013. Throughout my career, I have successfully provided students of varying ages and proficiency levels with comprehensive Spanish language, culture, and customs education.In my role as a Spanish classroom teacher, I work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and staff to create a secure learning environment that promotes academic growth and personal development. I ensure that each student receives appropriate educational services and is treated with respect and fairness. My teaching approach encompasses a variety of instructional strategies, including conversation, reading, writing, and grammar exercises, to enhance students' language skills. Additionally, I strive to instill an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures by incorporating cultural aspects into my lessons.As a recognized nominee for Teacher of the Year at Creston Intermediate Middle School, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to excellence in education. I have also been actively involved in CR-PBIS Tier 1 facilitation, where I lead and participate in meetings, collaborate on school community training, and create incentive programs to promote positive behavior.Outside of the classroom, I have served as a sponsor and coach for various activities at CIMS, including being a cheer coach for 7th and 8th-grade students and a yearbook sponsor. Additionally, I have coordinated and sponsored field trips for 8th-grade students, providing them with enriching experiences beyond the classroom.Before my teaching career, I worked as a customer service representative and Spanish translator at Marion County Traffic Violations, where I honed my communication and problem-solving skills in high-stress situations. Beyond my professional endeavors, I have a diverse range of interests. I enjoy reading, writing, playing board games, and watching movies in my leisure time.I hold a Professional Educator's License and possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Furthermore, I am fluent in both English and Spanish.With my extensive experience in education, dedication to student success, and proficiency in Spanish language instruction, I am eager to continue positively impacting the lives of my students and the school community.
