I have 16 years of nursing experience in a variety of fields such as home care, hospice, med/surg, labor and delivery, and most recently ER. I gain my greatest fulfillment in the nursing field as a servant leader. In a field where we work with people, it is imperative that those who care for patients have the tools necessary to provide compassionate, empathetic, and high-quality care. As a professional nursing leader, I believe shared knowledge, transparent honesty, and a true understanding of your team's values are three key elements needed to effectively lead and support the boots-on-the-ground nursing teams.
