• le gracieux is a luxury textile company specializing in heirloom quality, handmade fabrics servicing the interior design industry. Recently I have taken on the role of production manager for these gorgeous textiles. I oversee the processing, scheduling, color management and quality control while directing the team of artisans creating them. The fabric we create is very specialized and requires exacting skill to reproduce from dye lot to dye lot. This multi-faceted process is challenging but essential to maintain the high standards our client expect.Over the past years, I have worked with le gracieux in many aspects of the textile manufacturing business including being a part of the dye team, working in the color lab matching custom orders, creating one-of-a-kind strike-offs for clients, developing systems for organizing our productions and the related materials. I work directly with the CEO and CFO to execute day to day operations and special projects. I have a broad skill set and a tireless commitment to achieving results while keeping a positive attitude and enjoying what I do!

I’m an artist with a studio practice across many mediums. I have 25 years experience running a decorative arts business. Currently I do large scale art installations and commissions for residential and commercial interiors. i show my work in galleries around southern California and have recently been growing my skillset focusing on textile design.

I worked for several years documenting and archiving the work of artists through the use of high resolution image capture and data base programs like Lightroom and Art Systems. In preparation for this kind of comprehensive archiving I would assess an artists entire body of work through an interview process to determine a structure for organizing their physical and digital assets. Then my team and I would implement this though photographing, cataloguing these collection to a museum grade standard.I also photograph artwork installed for exhibition.

As the Studio Manager to Richard Shelton I oversaw all aspects of his Studio, advising the artist, managing day to day operations, directing staff, communicating with fabricators, hosting studio visits and acting as interface between the Artist and his collectors. I was responsible for preparing presentations of artists work for collectors, galleries and museums. At the time of hire I started an archival project to digitize and catalog the artists entire body of work. This consisted of 2,500 pieces of art comprised of drawings, paintings and sculpture along with nearly 500 pieces of ephemera. The project included photographic documentation and the organization of physical assets using Art Systems software and Adobe Lightroom. Image processing and correction was done in Photoshop . Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel was also required. I was in charge of special projects (see description of Temporary Space) as well as handling computer network, software and hardware management within the studio.

Temporary Space is an alternative exhibition platform to the traditional art gallery model. Instead of showcasing the art of developing or emerging artist, Temporary Space will exhibit the art of mid-career and late-career artists, with particular emphasis upon artists who have been under-represented and under-appreciated, both critically and economically, by the art establishment. Unlike the traditional gallery model, Temporary Space will not represent artists. Temporary Space will present the artists entire body of work in simultaneous gallery and on-line exhibitions. This will allow the ideas, sketches , studies and related works to be accessible, in addition to the works on display. There will be no sales people or curatorial restrictions on the exhibited art. Temporary Space will function as the connection between the artist and the collector, eliminating the middleman and the exorbitant fees they charge the artist.The mission of Temporary Space is to create a more pleasant, stimulating, and rewarding environment for artists to display their art, for viewers to experience art, and for collectors to purchase art. Temporary Space will overcome the barriers the audience associates with viewing and collecting art by creating a digitally interactive, viewer friendly environment for exhibiting the artists entire output. This will create a more democratic model for collecting art by offering a great variety of artwork at a broad range of prices. Temporary Space will also offer various digital means for interactive educational experiences. This technology will allow the viewer to broaden their understanding, and increase their appreciation, of the artists work.

When I was 22 I started a business doing custom artwork to meet a wide variety of client needs including murals, trompe l'oeil, gilding, antiquing and various wall finishes in commercial and public spaces as well as private residences.i would pitch jobs, create estimates, concept, design, create and present samples, collaborate with interior designers, act as contractor for teams on larger jobs and schedule around ever shifting on site construction.i would regularly execute my own designs in addition to fabricating for third parties.

I work side by side with owner Claire Ouimet for the past 7 years as a free lance artist traveling around the country doing faux finish for a commercial retail store called Brighton Collectables.

I worked with Tracy on a freelance bases working on large scale mural projects for Las Vegas hotels or large residential projects. I worked with her to get the job done.
