I am an approachable, flexible accountant and business partner to small to medium businesses and start-ups.I have a Masters in Taxation, am a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Tax Adviser and have a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Majors in Accounting and Economics. I am known for being a tax expert and for speaking 'real world' language. I help business owners to grow and operate their businesses.Clients say 'I get it', I'm accessible, I understand their technical business issues as well as being intuitive and holistic about how it fits with them and their lives and what they need to focus on to help their business to grow. I'm the "Make It Happen Officer". I started as a graduate in a top accountancy firm, was promoted to Senior Accountant and later, moved to a smaller firm and partnered with small to medium size businesses and individuals as a Senior Manager. I now have my own business - Quadkey and I thrive on delivering solutions to small to medium size businesses and start-ups. For some, I act as the middle person between the business and their accountant - helping to bridge the gap that sometimes exists here. I have published articles in industry magazines, I've facilitated university lectures and tutorials in relation to accounting and business analysis. I act as a subject matter expert and business partner on various taxation, business management and regulatory topics for businesses. Day to day, I'm in the business with my clients talking about where they want to take their business, brainstorming how to make it happen and helping to get it there. I connect businesses with other suitable service providers (insurance, human resources, banking etc) to grow and protect their businesses, do BAS and tax returns, assist the internal finance team or act as the external finance team. I may finish up the day with a well deserved glass of wine.When I'm not working, I'm likely to be travelling, checking out new places or cooking something delicious.
