Currently I oversee the editorial strategy for Afterglow Books through acquisitions and brand management within a dynamic publishing team. This means managing acquisitions, establishing the editorial vision and implementing the publication strategy for 24 contemporary romances annually, ensuring all books fit the brand's personality. I lead teams of acquiring editors and a prolific author base to deliver on-trend stories and new business initiatives as needed. Before the launch of Afterglow Books in January 2024, I led a dynamic, cross-department team through the creation of the imprint--from brand strategy and identity to consumer research, execution and internal processes; Afterglow Books, which publishes as category romance and as trade romance, is the first imprint of its kind at Harlequin Books.

Served as senior editor for Harlequin Desire, a line of category romance novels published simultaneously in print and digital formats around the world. Managed the acquisitions and editorial strategies and oversaw a small staff of editors and a prolific author base. Sixty-five percent of Desire's award-winning authors were USA TODAY or New York Times bestsellers. Before this role, I worked at Harlequin Books as an editor with the feature and custom publishing department, and as an editor and associate editor for Silhouette Books and Luna Books.

Currently, I oversee the strategy, operations and fulfillment of mission for a unique all-outdoor program based on forest schools, adventure playgrounds and the philosophy of playwork, with a focus on free play and hands-on environmental education for mixed-age groups. I lead a dynamic team of informal educators through best practices for reflection, development, compliance, outdoor education, safety, play dynamics and children’s rights. And, nurture and develop relationships within the local community, media and the outdoor education industry. I also facilitate and lead classes and field trips in all seasons and all weather, as needed. In 2018, I worked with outdoor, play and education experts to create and implement this unique program, from initial brainstorm to brand development, business planning and funding, consumer research, staffing and training and the launch of classes and offerings.

Edited and performed administrative duties for an online culture and lifestyle magazine for doctors, which was a finalist for the 2001 Online Journalism Award for General Excellence.

Wrote features, news articles, press releases, newsletters and copy for Web, print, radio, and television and served as editor of the college's quarterly alumni magazine. Developed the first glossy, themed issue geared to a national audience.
