Professionally, I returned to work in 2013 into the field of Long Term Care in nursing homes. Being a Social Worker in a nursing home was an amazing experience and I had the opportunity to learn so much. I was then fortunate enough to work in a local hospital where I had the opportunity to learn so much more. I quickly took this knowledge and moved onto a VNA where I had the opportunity to work with patients who are often medically complex, in their homes and community. Again, I took this experience and moved into Hospice. I am enjoying this experience and expanding my knowledge and experience within the field of Social Work. I have found my place; and am enjoying every day, in the work that I do with my patients and their families. Overall, I simply enjoy meeting people, talking with people. and I enjoy knowing that something I might do in my life might just help make a difference in someone else's! While continuing my work with hospice; I have also come full circle and come back to working with children and families via a school. This has afforded me the opportunity to explore all of my loves in Social Work, as well as have more quality time with my family
