Responsible for the overall information systems (IS) security program for the 49th Wing's Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System network. As the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), my duties include ensuring systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan and that system recovery processes are monitored to ensure that security features and procedures are properly restored.I am responsible for developing and maintaining the system and network accreditation, as described in the governing information security documentation, while also conducting periodic compliance reviews. If there are any changes that might affect accreditation, I am responsible for formally notifying the Command ISSM. On a regular basis, I ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals and that system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the system life cycle.

Serving as a junior systems administrator, I was responsible for installing, testing, modifying, upgrading, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining the hardware and software systems utilized by the 48 FW and geographically separated units (GSUs) within the USAFE-AFAFRICA command. My duties included performing regular vulnerability scans via ACAS, the DoD's implementation of the Nessus suite of products, and administrating, maintaining, and operating the 48 FW Patriot Excalibur (PEX) application and servers.
