Dr. Stacy Vaughan has spent two decades protecting children as a nonprofit executive, connector, and thought leader. She is the Executive Director of Connect to Protect Kids, a national nonprofit preventing sexual, online, peer, and interpersonal violence. Stacy’s leadership in organizational development, collaboration, and connecting research to practice fortifies organizations and amplifies the impact of evidence-based initiatives. Stacy has provided operational leadership for organizations through all phases of growth, focusing on scale and impact using research- and community-based approaches. Her broad network ranging from local to national organizations includes practitioners, researchers, advocates, and survivors, and thousands of schools, child advocacy centers, and nonprofits around the country. Her ability to foster and support collaboration and alliances anchors her reputation for being a connector. With a vision to transform the field of violence prevention and child safeguarding, Stacy is a recognized resource and thought leader for prevention advocacy and outreach strategies, communications, and program content and resources. She was the primary author of a leading national youth-focused prevention education program and co-author of the Prevent Together Coalition’s National Plan to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse. She serves as a consultant for leading organizations in the prevention field, is an adjunct professor at several universities, and frequently provides professional trainings and presentations on abuse and exploitation prevention issues.
