About Stacy Washington

I poses a wide range of experiences and skills within academic affairs and program development; providing comprehensive and individualized academic support to a student body of just over 2,000 young women. I serve as a pre-major advisor for first and second year students, and am responsible for direct service to all students in academic planning and goal-setting, learning strategies, writing, academic advising, personal/emotional support, problem solving and decision-making skills. I direct our Washington Semester exchange with American University and co-direct the Domestic Exchange and Prestigious Scholarship & Fellowship programs. For three years I directed the Pre-Enrollment Summer Program (PEP), combining my teaching and administrative skills to design and implement the six-week residential retention based program. I also serve as an instructor for both First Year Experience (FYE) and Sophomore Year Experience Leadership Seminar (SYE).Specialties: Teaching and curriculum development, writing/editing, art production/photography.
