Division Director for the Office of the State Engineer (OSE). OSE provides design and construction project management services for all state agencies and campuses.

Provides day-to-day supervision of full time and seasonal engineers to accomplish activities related to maintenance, renovation, restoration, energy reduction, sustainment, modernization, commissioning, LEED, and new construction for the SD Army National Guard Statewide. Her goal is to see projects from conceptualization through construction, executing 100% of our Federal and State budgets prior to the fiscal year ends.

Provided Civil Engineering expertise for the review and approval of engineering designs planned by mineral development interests and acted as Project Manager for BLM COR projects including but not limited to cost estimating, generating designs and specifications for roads, embankments, pipelines, erosion control structures, water contaminant structures, buildings, access control, etc. Duties also included managing Engineering seasonals and full time contractors, providing support to the mineral development teams, range improvement teams, and recreation department within the district.Certified course instructor for the BLM National Training Center. Course co-taught: Construction & Reclamation for Fluid Minerals; No: 3100-16. This is a one week course taught yearly at alternating Field Office locations. Instructed class on road, pipeline and pad construction, construction equipment, site preparation, compaction, drainage, drainage design, surfacing material, erosion control, road design, design reviews, applicable laws, rules, regulations and designing with reclamation in mind.

Primary focuses were drainage, erosion control, stormwater management and water quality/quantity control, maintaining hydrology, and land development. Duties also included designing water quality treatment facilities, wastewater facilities, stream bank erosion control measures, applying best management practices, and seeking applicable permits.
