Stacy Acord is an AV-rated, leading attorney in adoption, guardianship and family law matters. Stacy has represented adopting families in hundreds of adoptions. She founded the Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA) Adoption Committee and is the current chairperson of the OBA Family Law Section. Ms. Acord is well-known for her expertise in adoption law and is often asked to co‑counsel on adoption cases in Oklahoma and other states, particularly with regard to the adoption of Indian children and interstate adoption matters. She is a frequent speaker for continuing legal education for attorneys, and is also an editor of the OBA Family Law Practice Manual. Ms. Acord was appointed to the 2013‑2014 Leadership Jenks class and to the OBA’s 2009‑2010 Leadership Academy and is a recipient of The Journal Record’s 2008 Achievers Under 40 Award. She is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
