Stacy currently manages the K-12 portfolio at Shaffer Evaluation Group. Her work with SEG has involved working with school districts, higher education institutions, and tribal governments to evaluate educational initiatives to improve the academic success of underrepresented students in areas such as STEM, technology integration, computer science, literacy, and social-emotional learning.

Stacy served as a Graduate Research Associate and Site Coordinator for Thinking Like Mathematicians: Challenging All Grade 3 Students, a research study funded by the funded by the Javits Gifted and Talented Students Education Program.

Honors & Enrichment Program

Honors & Enrichment Office -Create and execute leadership and professional development opportunities for students such as event series that address cross-disciplinary skills in collaboration with campus partners-Collaborate with partners on outreach events-Coordinate community-building opportunities for student groups such as STEM Scholars-Assist in the administration of programs such as Honors Learning Communities, selection committees for speakers and awards, etc.-Communicate with student groups about opportunities and expectations using email, social media, and website maintenance-Assess and evaluate programs by staying apprised of best practices, benchmarking, developing learning outcomes, maintaining databases, and reporting for various audiences

-Served as Young Scholars Lead Teacher working with program implementation, budgets, curriculum, and professional development. -Worked as an itinerant teacher at multiple schools teaching enrichment clusters and separate classes of mathematics and language arts for gifted students. -Served as Alexandria City Public Schools Talented and Gifted Advisory Committee Teacher Representative. Acted as a liaison between school board members, community members, and teachers. -Planned and organized Annual STEAM Night event.

-Implemented Virginia Standards of Learning in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies at Title I school.
