Preparing operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals for several water pollution control facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Responsibilities include reviewing record drawings, specifications, manufacturers’ literature, shop drawings and other facility information to compile and write up-to-date information regarding the design criteria, operations, controls and maintenance information for equipment and process upgrades at the facilities.

Assisted Resident Engineer with site and project responsibilities including safety meetings, review and processing of submittals and shop drawings, progress meetings, submittal logs, correspondence logs and change order reviews.

As a Construction Project Manager in BNYDC's Design & Construction department, I was responsible for coordinating and overseeing work by architects, engineers, construction managers and contractors. Projects I was involved with include Superstorm Sandy recovery/resiliency at several berths and dry docks, the Brooklyn Navy Yard NYC Ferry Landing and a roof rehabilitation project. I was responsible for reviewing payment requisitions, drafting procurement documents, evaluating bids, drafting and negotiating contracts, reviewing design submissions and other tasks related to design and construction of BNYDC projects.

Managed a program funded by CDBG-DR called the Residential Backwater Valve Installation Program, which provides eligible homeowners in New York City's coastal communities with a free backwater valve installation to reduce the chance of sewage backing up into their homes during a heavy rain event and/or storm surge. My responsibilities included program development, eligibility review, procurement of plumbers, quality control of field reports, and review of payment requests.I was also involved with the Residential Technical Assistance Pilot Program (FloodHelpNY.org). My responsibilities included quality control of home resiliency audit reports submitted by contracted engineers, quality control of elevation certificates submitted by survey subcontractors, and development of a flood insurance rate calculator for existing home conditions and mitigated home conditions.

Performed field work and design services for NYCDEP's Green Infrastructure initiative in Queens, NY. Responsibilities included preparing engineering drawings using CAD, field work to site green infrastructure practices, and drilling inspection for borings and permeability tests.

Performed technical review of flood hazard mitigation proposals for NYC agencies. Led development of 404 applications for five flood hazard mitigation projects in response to Superstorm Sandy. Assisted with design and design services during construction for a perimeter flood protection berm-floodwall at Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant. This project included improving an adjacent park, relocating a roadway, and constructing a combination earthen levee/concrete floodwall along the perimeter of the plant, with vehicular gates for access. Led development of 406 applications, assisted with flood hazard mitigation designs, and completed benefit-cost analyses for a NYC hospital. Assisted with the preparation of demolition drawings for a large-scale groundwater well rehabilitation project in Queens, NY. Created Revit MEP models for 10 proposed groundwater well treatment stations for a large-scale groundwater well rehabilitation project in Queens, NY.

Reviewed submittals and collected samples for a nitrate removal pilot study on Long Island. Prepared design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for the rehabilitation of a groundwater well on Long Island. Reviewed submittals, attended meetings with the Client and Contractor, and reviewed payment requests/change orders. Prepared design drawings and performed utility assessments for several water main rehabilitation projects on Long Island. Created Revit MEP models of groundwater well stations for a large-scale groundwater well rehabilitation project in Queens, NY. Prepared an application for the NYSDEC to increase the pumping capacity of a groundwater well on Long Island. Assisted with a sludge dewatering alternatives study for a sewage treatment plant on Long Island.
