I first realized this when I started volunteering at the Alameda County Food Bank, which delivers millions of meals a year. I also developed a library of content to be used in future grant applications and interviewed potential applicants to expand the grant writing team.Courageous Women Association serves women who are survivors of domestic abuse. I first started working with CWA as a volunteer at one of their events in October 2019. Moved by their mission, I helped them develop a pitch for 100+ Women Who Care and helped them raise $5,000. More recently, I’ve identified grants to apply for, helped them collate the documents and information they’ll need to apply, and started writing and submitting applications.
