I’m a seasoned casino game designer, innovator and strategist. I’m experienced in creating novel gaming technologies and have developed an IP portfolio of over three dozen gaming patents. I often serve as an expert witness in gaming-related litigation, especially related to intellectual property disputes. At Silicon Gaming, I designed dozens of games and we sold hundreds of units. At Double Down Interactive, I designed gameplay and math for every game we produced, leading to over $300k in daily social casino revenues and a $500M acquisition by IGT.As President of Olympian Gaming, I have designed and analyzed over a hundred casino games (slots, table games, bingo, etc.) and negotiated several royalty-bearing game content and IP licenses. As a professional expert witness, I have consulted on over 30 cases and have testified at depositions, hearings, or jury trials. I am an excellent tech-to-English translator (and vice-versa), a trait that comes in very handy in both sales meetings and jury trials. Right now I’m designing games for the next generation of casino players, players for whom pressing a button and watching reels spin is not exciting. Some of these will be “skill-based games,” others will be RNG-driven video games adapted for wagering, but the key idea is to give newer gaming patrons something to play besides slots with reels and symbols. If you share that idea, please get in touch. I also formerly held a gaming license in Washington State and have worked to help policymakers understand how (or if) existing gambling laws apply to new game products such as mobile games or social casinos.Specialties: Casino consulting, casino game design, mathematical analysis, gaming patent development, patent infringement analysis, expert witness testimony.
