30+ years of experience in the construction industry with 20+ years of operation/project management experience. I could step into any position in the company. Primary job function was Operations and Project Manager. Job duties included specification and document review, purchasing, estimating, CAD drafting consultant, computer applications, communications and relations, project scheduling, estimating, RFI management, change order management, subcontractor management, budgeting, product research. While that summarizes my primary functions I also handled HR, payroll, bookkeeping, customer service, and a number of other odd jobs.

Using my background in architecture & construction technology, years of experience as a project manager, my budding interest in building science, coupled with my LEED AP Homes & LEED Green Rater credentials I enjoy being involved in the integrative process.Like any project manager, I am responsible for planning and overseeing numerous construction projects from beginning to end. I balance the budget, estimate costs, and create schedules. I determine the manpower needs for my crews as well as my subcontractors. I collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and various consultants working to create a successful project. What makes me different is my self motivation and work ethic. I’ve worked remotely since March 2020 and in that time, I’ve worked relatively autonomously. I have been responsible for securing projects to keep myself, superintendents, and crew busy. In 2022 I managed 20+ projects totaling $3 million in revenue. For 2023, I’m on track to do the same. My career knowledge and background also sets me apart. Having worked for years as a project manager with both subcontractors and contractors and also as drafting consultant with an architect, I have the ability to see a project from all angles and fully understand a set of plans and specifications.It is important that my work challenges me. Despite my time in the industry, every project provides an opportunity to learn something new or get creative solving a problem. Responsible for purchasing / procurement of direct construction costs associated with vertical contracts for work constructed in the team member’s defined region. Also responsible for bidding, spreading, analyzing, negotiating, and awarding contracts to approved TradePartners ® . In addition to procurement duties I assembled and maintain budgets, preparing documents for inclusion into trade contract agreements, and other duties related to the purchasing process. Respond timely to division needs and perform in keeping with established service standards and metrics.

From a napkin sketch or concept I developed floor plans, elevations, sections, as well as structural plans. Collaborated with owners, engineers and contractors bringing vision to reality.

Job function was similar to those at DMS Custom, on a smaller scale.
