With more than 17 years of experience in the public accounting industry and a licensed CPA for over 14 years, I have had the opportunity to work with many types of clients on many types of tax return and projects. As a member of the Wealth Management team at SC&H, I focus on Estate and Trust Administration and Tax Compliance. I have a wide variety of experience working with estates such as assisting both small and regular estates through the probate process, guiding large estates with complex, multi-state assets through the valuation and reporting process, advising Personal Representatives through the process of identifying, gathering and distributing assets, and aiding estates through the process of an IRS estate or gift audit. Additionally, I serve individuals and families with individual income and gift tax planning and preparation needs. As an example, I have much experience working with young attorneys who are starting their career path in law firms as well as senior attorneys who have complex partner reporting issues, beneficiaries of estates or trusts whose tax situation change due to an inheritance, individuals with a business, rental property or farm and families who have multi-state investments and state reporting matters. My involvement with the firm includes the implementation of paperless return preparation procedures, a workflow management system and the training of a 40+ person income tax department. I strive to continually find solutions to enhance our efficiency and the resulting experience for our clients. I also currently keep busy at SC&H Group by volunteering time with the Community Service Committee for company initiatives as well as leading our Ronald McDonald House Dinner Volunteers program.I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Towson University in Towson, Maryland and am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
