I am an EDI expert and entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in optimizing diversity programs, initiatives, and portfolios. I founded EDI Foundations, a data-driven, human-centered equity, diversity, and inclusion consultancy business, in January 2023. My mission is to help companies advance their targets by blueprinting metrics and road-mapping plans for implementing a generative EDI strategy. I flip the script on traditional DEI so your team can survive and thrive. I apply journey and experience analysis to deeply understand how current inequity leads to costly disparities that can become drivers for overall business optimization when tackled head-on. I also design rigorous, data-driven, and EDI feedback loops for continuous learning. Before starting EDI Foundations, I was the Associate Director of DEI Digital Strategy at Humana, where I supervised a team of project managers and administrators, and pioneered data-driven models for embedding EDI principles into core practices. I also charted an advanced analytics apprenticeship initiative that targeted BIPOC associates for reskill and redeployment into future-proof careers. I have a passion for learning and a strong analytical skill set, which I leverage to identify EDI obstacles and convert them into EDI opportunities. I have an ABD in Interdisciplinary Studies, a MA in Pan African Studies, History, and Geography, and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Louisville. I am also an advisor for HealthTech startups on EDI strategies and programs to address the healthcare staffing crisis. I believe that EDI is not only a moral imperative, but also a strategic advantage for any organization that wants to unlock creativity and spark competitive market edge.
