I am currently part of the Regiments Tactical Unmanned training team providing advice and Subject Matter knowledge, as I completed Watchkeeper technical training complete (no WK live flying experience), when compiling training exercises for Operation room persons and assisting in the organisation of Watchkeeper field trials.

I am currently employed within 32nd Regt RA (UAV) since 2003 and have been working with and around UAV's since 1997.I am a qualified UAS(V) operator, not currently with WKPR, and now lapsed in currency operating Hermes 450 but I have gained over 7k hours experience in various climates. I am technically qualified (passed all classroom based training, Task book training and all simulated, emergency, sorties)on Watchkeeper (WK) UAS but not fully qualified as need to complete live flying sorties. Since leaving Aviation Standards I am now employed CDCS and assisting with WK Equipment state 2 (ES2) Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Training Gap Analysis (TGA). I am also managing Airmanship Development Flying Module (ADFM) which is a pre requisite live flying module that all potential WK pilots and WK staff need to complete. I am hoping my next post will see me still absorbed into the Tactical UAS world so I can begin to increase my experience managing (wo)men within a Regiment. In the past whilst being in the UAS employment I have completed numerous Competency assessments, Biennial standards assessments at home and abroad and instruction/teaching of document sets, certain ground school lessons and equipment element training also, I was also a part of a team who Implemented Gps Takeoff and Landing (GTOL) into the theatre and this process was a great success and aided in the flying of WK in theatre as the GTOL system is used in the Takeoff and Landing (TOL) logics of WK. Although I have a few more years left to serve in the Army I'm now starting to look for new challenges and options that could be available to me.

I provide system Knowledge and expertise to hierarchy, operate UAS system and asses other qualified operators.

This role saw me conducting assurance visits to 32 Regt RA to ensure all TUAS operators and managers were up to date with current Aircraft Document Sets and regulations set out and in accordance with MAA regs and Brigade directives. As an external standards officer I also visited T3 and theatres to conduct safety checks of virtually all pilots and also carried out assessments to ensure flight safety was met throughout training, live flying and in the interims when on simulator flights or non flying.

As part of the regimental standards cell I was required to keep flight safety information up to date and also assist in keeping policies in line with current MAA regulations. This role saw me loading with the regimental heads of department to ensure all key documents and records were in date for biannual and six monthly checks.
