Sole Infection Preventionist for the Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation, covering over 100 outpatient medical clinics. Facilities included urgent care and primary care, as well as specialties ranging from OB/GYN, orthopedics, surgery, ENT, oncology, urology, etc. Duites included: Perform in person rounds within all clinics to observe staff and provide feedback on areas of improvement.  Lead in person new employee orientation for all clinical staff, covering how to practice the basics of infection prevention (hand hygiene, PPE, injection safety, environmental cleaning) within their clinics.  Provide additional trainings, as needed, to cover site specific tasks, such as sterilization, high-level disinfection, setting up a sterile field, etc.  Perform annual competency check offs for all staff who perform in office reprocessing of reusable medical instruments, endoscopes, and/or transducers. Responsible for COVID-19 contact tracing for all positive staff members. Write, review, and publish internal policies and procedures for all staff related to infection prevention and control activities.

Led the COVID-19 Healthcare Worker Monitoring team, designing surveillance and education for positive healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Part of the Healthcare Outreach Unit (HOU) within the Acute Communicable Disease Control (ACDC) Program. I was the Epi Analyst for the CDC's Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Domestic Ebola Supplement grant. The focus of this grant is to build domestic capability around Ebola and other emerging and highly infectious diseases. Under ELC, one of my primary responsibilities was to prepare for, coordinate, and then analyze infection control assessments for LA County acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient facilities, and emergency medical service providers. I also co-organized the Los Angeles County Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and Antimicrobial Resistance (AR) Committee. This committee brings together experts from all settings to decrease the burden of HAIs and AR on Los Angeles County patients and facilities. Beyond my work in epidemiology, I also have a background in Health Education. During my time at LAC DPH, I used this experience to host various trainings, including the bi-annual “Basics of Infection Control Two Day Course”, training beginning and intermediate infection control practitioners from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient facilities, health departments, etc. In addition, I was able to provide information and answer questions to inmates during a mass vaccination campaign at the Men’s Central Jail during the 2019 mumps outbreak.Contract worker for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, employed by Public Health Foundation Enterprises from August 2015 - February 2017, county employee as of March 2017.

The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is dedicated to raising awareness of Alzheimer's and related dementias among young professionals in Los Angeles through events, support and education.As an active member, I participated in monthly meetings and chapter events, including the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's and 2015-2017 Blondes vs. Brunettes/TackleALZ Football Game. As a player and organizer, I helped the YPC to raise nearly $200,000 in my three years, personally raising over $7,000, and secured in-kind and monetary sponsors. I was served as the Chair of the Committee from July 2015 - July 2017. (Formerly Alzheimer's Association California Southland Chapter)

Employers can hire Health Advocate to perform in house health screenings for their employees. These screenings are usually connected to company wellness programs or annual benefits. My role was to go over the results one on one with participants and to discuss ways to improve their health status.

The St. Louis Healthy Start Project provides comprehensive case management from pregnancy until the child is two years old. They provide home visits, pre- and post-natal education, and community referrals for various services.My role was to evaluate the effectiveness of the Healthy Start program with new mothers at two weeks and six months postpartum. I also performed follow-up evaluations with previous program participants years after joining Healthy Start to see how their lives were impacted by the program.

Student worker for the "Sharing Responsibility, Improving Community Health" public health speaker series funded through Saint Louis University. This speaker series focused on community engagement and collaboration to face leading medical issues in St. Louis and around the world. Topics included: Crossing the Racial Divide, The Affordable Care Act, Violence and its Impact on Health, Maternal and Child Health, Cultural Competencies, and Collective Impact. As the student worker, I was in charge of organization and planning of events. I coordinated with our chosen speakers and communicated with community members. I was also in charge of evaluations, making an individual evaluation for each separate event. I worked with pharmaceutical companies to improve their access to medicines portfolio in developing countries and emerging markets. As an individual, I was in charge of media monitoring for the Access to Medicines Index (ATMI), monitoring both our client's and their competitors' transparency of work being done for Index Diseases in Index Countries. As part of the access team, I collaborated on projects focusing on a variety of diseases ranging from HIV and HCV to Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs). Some of my work included research to determine burden of disease within specific countries and points of contact (such as organizations or Ministries of Health) within each country. I also collaborated on backgrounders which presented this research to the pharmaceutical companies.

They also specialize in LGBT law, working with the ever changing laws of marriage and domestic partnerships for the LGBT community.Worked as both a legal assistant and office/administrative assistant. As a legal assistant, I helped to prepare documents, formatted documents, managed client files, and set up appointments with clients. I also performed all office support duties including making copies, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and greeting clients.

EMT providing medical care to patrons at events throughout Southern California. The events included state/county fairs, sports tournaments, festivals, concerts, etc. For the larger events, such as fairs, we had a first aid office staffed throughout the day, as well as a mini-ambulance to respond to emergencies on-site. For smaller events, we were centrally located and responded on foot or with carts.

Emergency Medical Technician for an ambulance company in New York. As a private company, we responded to emergencies, as well as inter-facility transports. The majority of my time was spent riding with the patients, but I also drove the ambulance.

Through the University of Arizona math department, worked as a math tutor in both school and home settings. Within the schools, I volunteered in math classrooms at local middle and high schools, as well as an after school homework help program. For private settings, I worked with students from 10 to 25 years old. I worked mostly with Algebra and Algebra 2, but also in other areas, especially with the younger students. I also became a certified AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) tutor with the Sunnyside Unified School District. With this certification, I worked in high school and middle school AVID classrooms helping with homework. This work included math, but also other subjects the students needed help on.

Took vital signs (Heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG) at the beginning of each session and after each workout. Depending on the day, supervised between 1 and 10 patients and provided educational information each week.
