    Part of the Healthcare Outreach Unit (HOU) within the Acute Communicable Disease Control (ACDC) Program. I was the Epi Analyst for the CDC's Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Domestic Ebola Supplement grant. The focus of this grant is to build domestic capability around Ebola and other emerging and highly infectious diseases. Under ELC, one of my primary responsibilities was to prepare for, coordinate, and then analyze infection control assessments for LA County acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient facilities, and emergency medical service providers. I also co-organized the Los Angeles County Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and Antimicrobial Resistance (AR) Committee. This committee brings together experts from all settings to decrease the burden of HAIs and AR on Los Angeles County patients and facilities. Beyond my work in epidemiology, I also have a background in Health Education. During my time at LAC DPH, I used this experience to host various trainings, including the bi-annual “Basics of Infection Control Two Day Course”, training beginning and intermediate infection control practitioners from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient facilities, health departments, etc. In addition, I was able to provide information and answer questions to inmates during a mass vaccination campaign at the Men’s Central Jail during the 2019 mumps outbreak.Contract worker for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, employed by Public Health Foundation Enterprises from August 2015 - February 2017, county employee as of March 2017.
