I am currently the Managing Director and co-founder of The Legal Verification Team, a BEE verification agency, which sets itself apart by employing in-house attorneys to ensure legally assured verifications that will stand up to scrutiny.I was a partner in the Corporate Practice at Webber Wentzel from 2016 to 2018, where I specialised in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, general commercial law and broad-based black economic empowerment transactions.I completed my articles and served as an associate at Hogan Lovells, in the Commercial Mining Team, where I focused on M&A transactions and providing general regulatory advice to local and international clients.Prior to joining WW in July 2014, I was a manager in the Transaction Advisory Team at Deloitte, where I practiced primarily in the field of corporate finance with a focus on local mergers and acquisitions and group restructures.I am an admitted attorney and notary public of the High Court of South Africa. I have a B.Com (Law) degree from the Rand Afrikaans University and B.Com (Hons) in Strategic Management and LLB degrees from the University of Johannesburg. I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Mining and Prospecting Law and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of the Witwatersrand.
