Responsible for Operations, including, Maintenance, Capital Projects, Environmental Health, & Safety, Custodial, and Museum management, to include 2,000,000 SF of classroom, laboratory, housing, dining, office, athletic, and other ancillary facilities on approximately 177 acres, with a staff of 66 employees. Managed $9.5M operating and $5.5M capital budgets.

Responsible for management of Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) regulatory compliance, including, Radiation and Laser Safety, Biosafety, Controlled Substances, Hazardous Waste, Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control (SPCC), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), OSHA, NFPA, EPA, FDEP, RCRA, DOH, and related compliance training.

Responsible for safety, environmental, security, facilities, maintenance, and capital infrastructure project management at this 750,000 SF aircraft manufacturing facility consisting of full fabrication, assembly, completion, and business operations. Served as company liaison with EPA, FDEP, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies. Established and led the Safety Committee, a cross-functional team that mutually determined the root cause of all incidents/near misses and strived to eliminate all unsafe acts and conditions. Managed workers’ compensation claims processing. Performed industrial hygiene sampling. Led the Hazardous Materials Spill Response Team. Maintained the RCRA Contingency, SPCC, and SWPPP Plans. Managed the EPA Superfund site remediation, sampling, and reporting. Developed and delivered EHS compliance training. Reported safety and facilities metrics to Senior Leadership. Led the Piper Green Initiatives team, a volunteer-based team of Piper employees that promoted sustainability in company processes, products, and facilities.

Environmental consulting, due diligence, compliance, permitting, and design on land development, utilities, roadway, and industrial/manufacturing projects. Responsible for project management coordination with permitting agencies, contractors, owners, vendors, engineers, and technicians from project conception to final certification.

This temporary internship familiarized me with the utilities industry. Performed inspections and prepared inspection reports for City assets such as lift stations, potable, and wastewater treatment plants. Assisted project managers on active construction job for 6,500 lineal feet of 8-inch water main replacement on Florida State Road A1A.

This temporary internship familiarized me with the air pollution control industry. Supported the Environmental Systems and Services department with design and application of air pollution control components for coal-powered power plants.

Supported multiple temporary grant funded research project positions over a six-year time frame. Performed field and lab Sampling (IC, ICP, GC/MS, Optical Microscopy). Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining appropriate environmental conditions in hydroponic chambers. Analyzed and compiled data for multiple scientific publications.
