About Stacy E. Purvis

Businesses run on relationships. The old adage ‘it’s not what you know, it’s who you know’ is more important today than ever. I understand that making connections resulting in positive outcomes for both parties is the ultimate goal. I have successfully built professional relationships with customers, vendors, business and civic leaders, and organizations across the state and around the country. Beyond the relationship, there has to be a plan. Streamlining a process, designing a new program, closing a deal. The logistics involved is where I excel. My approach is innovative and creative while remaining stable and dependable. Sometimes you don’t need to think outside of the box. Sometimes you just need to reshape the box.“Sounds good – but what have you done?” Good question. From 2004-12, I was the Executive Director for a small nonprofit music organization and festival. During those years, I lowered costs, increased revenues, and turned a profit, even during the recession years, through program reorganization and new initiatives. In 2012 I switched fields, became the Resource Development Officer, and focused on creating new income streams and business initiatives ranging from $500,000 - $10 million for a nonprofit community development corporation. 2016 saw another career change as I went from nonprofit to for-profit. I joined First Federal Bank of Kansas City as Assistant Vice President, Community Development/CRA Officer. I worked with nonprofit partners and community organizations to expand homeownership opportunities for lower-income individuals while overseeing internal compliance of federal regulations. My most current role at PNC, as Vice President - Community Development Banking, has me continuing my focus on low and moderate communities through strategies partnerships by providing sponsorships, grants, debt, equity, and/or a combination.Interested in learning more?
