Stacy Rosenberg is an Associate Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College. She has been on the Carnegie Mellon faculty, within the School of Public Policy & Management and Information Systems & Management, for more than a decade. Stacy is currently teaching the graduate-level courses Writing for Public Policy, Writing for Creative Industries, and Strategic Presentation Skills. She is frequently quoted in articles on crisis communication and leadership, and was the closing keynote for Plant Health 2022 speaking to scientists as well as government officials on communication strategies for politicized issues such as climate change and GMOs.Prior to joining the Carnegie Mellon University faculty, Stacy worked at New York University for 10 years. She was Assistant Director for External Relations at NYU's Department of Media, Culture, & Communication (MCC). While at NYU, Stacy taught the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development courses Media & Identity and Media Criticism. She also co-taught the Stern School of Business course Business & Its Publics. These courses reflect her interest in the interrelationship between business, government, and society. Prior to joining MCC, Stacy served as Associate Director at the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management where she oversaw the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference and the Center's certificate programs. Previously, she worked as a Web producer for the arts and entertainment guide Citysearch.com and freelanced in television production management at The Walt Disney Company and Universal Studios, Orlando. Projects included media relations for The Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney grand opening press events, work on the key production team for Walt Disney World's 25th Anniversary and Millennium press events, and on Oprah, The Walt Disney World Christmas and Easter specials, Children's Miracle Network Telethon, and many more scripted programs airing on major broadcast and cable networks. Stacy majored in Telecommunication Operations Management, with an outside concentration in Business, at the University of Florida where she was a Florida Academic Scholar, graduated summa cum laude, and was awarded the Dean's Cup for Professional Promise. She earned her MA at NYU in Media, Culture, and Communication.
