Through Simera Consulting, Stacy provides trainings and workshops for licensed social service professionals and corporate wellness programs, as well as consultation services. Simera Consulting is also contracted by the Ohio Department of Health (2021-2023) to coordinate the Ohio Adolescent Health Partnership, a public health group in the state that advocates for evidence-based health promotion for adolescents and resource-sharing for health professionals and other stakeholders.

Stacy provides therapy to children, adults, couples and families at this private practice in Kent - working primarily from a cognitive-behavioral perspective. At this time, Stacy is not accepting referrals for new clients.

Stacy facilitates an ongoing psychoeducational group on stress and mood management, open to persons with Multiple Sclerosis. This group meets twice a month at The Oak Clinic for MS and follows Mary Ellen Copeland's Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) from New Harbinger's The Depression Workbook. Stacy also periodically conducts workshops for the Oak Clinic on wellness topics related to MS such as family dynamics and resilience, and facilitated a national pilot program launch of 'EveryDay Matters' - a National MS Society adaptation of the positive psychology principles from Shawn Anchor's 'Happiness Advantage' book.

Stacy is an independently contracted trainer for OCWTP - the Ohio training system for child protection professionals and foster parents coordinated by the Institute for Human Services. Stacy trains across the state of Ohio on specialized mental health topics including sleep, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotropic medications, substance abuse, ADHD, supervision, and ethics.

Adjunct Instructor for the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences

Stacy is an adjunct instructor at Stark State, teaching two to four social work courses each semester. Stacy also independently contracts to provide professional workshops for Stark State's continuing education department.

Stacy provided outpatient psychotherapy for adults, children and couples at Summit Psychological Associates. With an average direct-service productivity of 70%, Stacy also served on the Quality Assurance Committee and coordinated the agency's first-time CARF accreditation efforts in 2006. The agency received a three-year CARF accreditation for all treatment programs - the highest level possible. Stacy left Summit Psych in 2008 to join a practice closer to home.

As PRN staff, Stacy provided pre-screening services at Portage Path Psychiatric Emergency Services - a psychiatric emergency evaluation and treatment program. Clinicians at PPPES work in conjunction with a nurse and psychiatrist in assessing and determining the appropriate care for persons in psychiatric crisis. Stacy had worked at PPPES as an aide in the late 80's while obtaining her BA.

As a social worker at AGMC, Stacy primarily provided assessment and crisis intervention services in the Emergency Department, OB units, and cardiac units. While at AGMC, Stacy also served as field supervisor for social work students from the University of Akron and Case Western Reserve University.

Townhall II provided Stacy her first opportunities to provide direct services. Stacy completed Townhall II's nationally-recognized crisis intervention training while obtaining her BA in psychology at Kent State, and then became a trainer herself. In addition to volunteering for the hotline and walk-in services, Stacy also recieved training in mediation and volunteered for the family crisis mediation pilot program. During college, Stacy also worked in a paid crisis intervention position. Between 1995 and 1996 Stacy carried out a field placement in the Counseling Department at Townhall II, one of two field placements required during her master's program at Case Western Reserve University's Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.

Stacy began work at Oriana House as a resident supervisor at the women's program in 1992. She transitioned to the juvenile halfway house when it first opened, and assisted in writing policies and procedures. In 1994 Stacy was promoted to the position of DUI Specialist, a part-time position that allowed her to work while obtaining her master's degree. As DUI Specialist, Stacy was the primary educator for the 3-day Driver Intervention Program.

Stacy carried out one of her two years of master's level field placements at Barberton Citizen's Hospital: split between the inpatient psychiatric unit and Success Counseling, an outpatient therapy practice. It was at Success Counseling that Stacy first began practicing brief therapies including cognitive-behavioral therapy.
