As an MLGA with American National one of the most important things I do on a daily basis is change the negative persona about a career within the Insurance Industry. I started my career in the industry over 15 years ago, and it has provided myself and my family many wonderful opportunities along the way. This isn’t just a job, it is the chance to make a difference in other people’s lives. I can wake up every morning knowing I will be making a difference and providing someone with peace of mind in their family’s darkest hour. I have spent much of my career in the property and casualty side of the business. The turning point in my career was when I got involved in Estate Planning. I helped a client put a plan in place to protect his family owned business. Shortly afterwards he lost his life in an accident, and because he cared about his family’s wellbeing and planned for the future they are still able to operate their family owned business years later. This has remained with me as this family wasn’t just a “client”, they had become close friends over the years. While I can’t bring back their husband or father, I know that his wife, children, and business are taken care of. In 2015 I joined American National as a General Agent. My agency currently operates in four states; MD, VA, WV, and PA. In February of 2015 I was sitting alone in a small office putting furniture together, at the end of 2016 my Agency finished #3 overall in the entire company. I take pride in what I do, and I will continue to develop my team with qualified, like-minded individuals who share the same principles and goals as myself. I think that QUALITY is much more important than quantity and I have built my agency on this statement. My team of dedicated agents have all put in a lot of hours, sweat, and hard work and we will all continue to remain committed as we climb to the top. We Are Better Together.
