The ARTgarage is a non-profit arts organization that hosts an art gallery, exhibitions, art classes, performances and events. I was hired as the Administrative Liaison and earned a promotion to Director of Operations in less than 1 year. MANAGEMENT AND SCHEDULING* Property manager for 6 tenants overseeing facility care, writing leases and collecting monthly rent.* Successfully scheduled multiple calendars, rooms and staff schedules for exhibits, classes, performances and rentals. * Oversaw and directed daily operations of retail store, staff, website, rentals and advertising.TEAMWORK AND COMMUNICATION* Lead coordinator of the staff in planning and executing 6 multifaceted events composed of visual artists, musicians, presentations, food, beverages, marketing and vendors. FINANCES AND ANALYTICAL THINKING* Handled all the finances, with accuracy and attention to detail, consisting of A/R, A/P, taxes, payroll, and monthly financial reports. * Researched rental facility comparisons and adjusted the prices to be in line with the competitors. Resulted in a 40% increase of revenue.PROCESS AND PROCEDURE DEVELOPMENT* Analyzed current systems and developed over 20 new procedures for efficiency in event rentals, marketing, art classes, on site sales, internal communication and events.PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND CRITICAL THINKING* Curated an exhibition called the Easter Story. 16 local artists created works of art based upon the written scripture and what it meant to them. There were traditional and non-traditional interpretations, and a variety of mediums including photography, mixed media, painting, and 3D displays. This project required securing a sponsor, planning a reception, curating the display and marketing the event which resulted in the highest attended exhibition at the ARTgarage of 580 people.
