I started a career in IT as a POS developer (COBOL) at UCS in the clothing retail division and soon joined the Pep retail team as a BI report developer, using Business Objects. It quickly progressed to data warehouse developer (Oracle) and Business Objects administrator. I have been involved in business intelligence and data warehousing for the past 15 years. It gave me the exposure to all relevant components in an end-to-end BI solution. These include functions like: • Data analysis,• Data warehouse design,• Dimensional modelling,• ETL strategy and development, • Report design and development,• BI project management, • BI business analysis, • BI management, • BI strategy formulation and implementation.I am passionate about BI and how it helps to drive key decision making in an organization.
