Co-founder and lead developer of a company that designs and develops integrated systems to easily control lighting systems. The company sells "contained boxes" that hook into the lighting system for a building and provides an internal browser based UI that allows for admins to check, set schedules, and control the lighting across the building. A low level library was developed to communicate with the lighting controllers and a web interface allows the users to graphically control the lights and set schedules, all run from a small plugbox.

Sr. Software Engineer working on a team to develop and improve on a large web application framework. Most development is done in front-end or server side Javascript and/or Java. Front end frameworks such as JQuery are utilized heavily. MongoDB and MySQL are used as data stores for the application.

Software Engineer working on a team to perform ETL migrations and create a data warehouse utilizing Kimball dimensional modeling methods. The warehouse is mined by users using Business Objects universes and Ruby on Rails web screens. Ruby on Rails, Informatica, Oracle SQL, Business Objects, and general linux scripting is used.

Master's project to design and implement a system to take high-resolution multi-spectral imagery of ancient texts and efficiently generate corresponding 3D-models to map the images onto using structured light patterns. The project was used to digitize the oldest surviving Anglo-Saxan illuminated gospel, the St. Chad Gospels in Lichfield, England and to digitally preserve a copy of the Iliad housed by the Real Monasterio de El Escorial in Spain. C++ utilizing the OpenCV library was used in addition to several other open source libraries.

Undergraduate and Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Brent Seales. Worked as part of a research team to examine and enhance the technology and ergonomics involved in laparoscopy and other minimally invasive surgery. Wrote and maintained various programs in C and Java that dealt with image analysis, data collection, and voice recognition.

Hired as an independent contractor for several projects involving designing, setting up, and implementing complex SQL databases. Each also required a web based or stand-alone .NET frontend program that integrated into Microsoft AD security. These projects were used to securely and easily search, enter, and modify large amounts data as well as correctly generate reports formatted to government standards and regulations. Worked on a team to program a secure online storage and message transfer website, now used by banks worldwide. The project was written mostly in javascript/html with a ColdFusion back end and used AJAX to communicate with a SQL server. My second and third terms I worked in a team to create an interactive online customer resource management system as well as an easy to use, but powerful web site designer to allow customers to interactively design their own websites.
