Supporting the HGV and LCV Sales Teams, internal staff and customers at all stages from evaluation through to design, build and ultimate delivery of assets covering all technical specifications on all makes and models, plus legal and compliance regulations. This also requires me to involve manufacturers, coach builders and legal bodies with regards to any builds and changes to a vehicle follow the current guidelines which meet the requirement of the product and current legislations. Obtain quotes and vetting of costs, ensuring that we are using the correct products for our customer needs. Supplier Management with both current suppliers and the evaluation and introduction of the new ones too.Part of the role is to investigate any aftermarket - defect failures that occur in operation. Site visits to check progress builds and on occasion involve meeting with the customer to go through any change requirements to give advice and guidance. Builds will involve all types; examples are dry freight, curtain side, fridge, crane fitted and other bespoke builds.

Basically the same fundamental role as that performed when the business was Lloyds TSB Autolease but now across a larger fleet following the acquisition of LEX Vehicle Leasing to around 71,000 units This again was another internal move and operating as before with the additional work of fleet audits for customers.

Transferred to Lloyds TSB Autolease with the takeover of First National Leasing, Carry out the same job role as below and in addition to this, help and support and develop the Light Commercial Vehicle business within the Lloyds Group. This work involved educating and instructing personnel within the business of the LCV market to ensure that the correct specification vehicle was delivered, plus the phasing out of the HGV fleet. I was involved in major contract wins and retentions with regards to specifications and an understanding of the customer requirements, two of these being E-ON and Network Rail. and maintained on going Customer Relationship Management functions from an after care technical service perspective. Fleet size at point of Lex acquisition was 31,000 units.

Appointed to look after a new major fleet win for Highway Vehicle Management, plus the current fleet. Covering a geographic area of mid England, Scotland and part of North Wales, reporting to a line manager. One of two engineers that covered specifications, Introducing customer/operators to new ideas, customer visit, quality control, investigation work re failures, supporting the sales team with technical and customer meetings plus many other duties within the vehicle leasing operation. Cost control and warranty. The company was later acquired by First National Leasing which involved me being part of a team to transfer the commercial and systems side of the operation to the new HQ in Bury.
