Primary responsibilities include project planning and management, customer liaison, defect resolution tracking, inter-discipline coordination. Daily tasks include constant internal team coordination and external collaboration with hardware, systems, field engineering, and program management. Other duties include new business pursuits, cost estimating, scheduling, recruitment, and employee performance evaluations.

Applications are developed using a combination of Java, Visual Basic, C++, and X/Motif. Led a team of seven developers in successfully designing a B2C eCommerce trading/bartering Web site, using Java, JSP, Servlets, Java Beans, JDBC, Apache, JServ, and MySQL running on Linux. Development was done from scratch in 30 days using Agile processes, which included hiring the team, building the development infrastructure, establishing processes and procedures, writing use cases, and testing the Web site.

Led all software development activities in a company of 200+ employees to support the conversion of black-and-white video footage to color. Designed and implemented an enhanced, Motif/OpenGL-based colorization and visual effects software package written in C++ on SGI workstations in support of in-house, fast-paced, post-production video and film-resolution projects. Software developed was the primary tool used for the visual effects in the movie, Pleasantville, which contained the most visual effects shots of its time, as well as for an episode of Star Trek TNG and numerous television commercials. The software is still being used today in the post production of TV and film footage.
