Since graduating Western Kentucky University with BS and MS degrees in Biology and Health Administration and more health-related graduate work, I have been a serial entrepreneur, building 3 companies from the ground up. But that was just a start.My 2 books and 9 movies chronicle my Friendship Runs and adventures across 38 nations, with warm friendships developed with people from the unknown to the well known, from the palaces of the world and White House to forgotten byways and humble villages. No, my greatest race is not yet run! I have been a college instructor; pharmaceutical salesman with E.R. Squibb; National Product Manager with Boehringer Ingelhelm, Ltd, V.P. International Business Development, and CEO of an international bio-technical/environmental firm with offices in 35 countries. I am honored to have received 300 awards for promoting International Goodwill and U.S. image abroad by U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, and nationally recognized service organizations, and to have appeared on many nationally televised programs with phenomenal media value scores. These, too, have served to prepare us further for the calling to go into all the world spreading the Spirit of Hope and to give the world's 143 million orphans a real hope and a future. Stan Cottrell's ultra runs include 2,125 mile run across China - 53 days from The Great Wall to Guangzhou in 1984, the length of the combined Vietnam in preparation of normalized relations with the U.S., through 12 nations of Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall including former Soviet Bloc countries, The Dominican Republic, Romania, Kenya, and the United States to name only a few.
