I graduated from Eindhoven University of Technology with a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Orthopaedic Biomechanics. My academic curriculum was enriched with a deep dive into physics, chemistry, biology, and programming, all applied from a biomedical perspective. I further specialized in soft tissue biomechanics, host responses to biomaterials, and Numerical Analysis of Continua, using the finite-element method, enhancing my analytical and problem-solving skills.During my master's thesis, I developed nucleus pulposus spheroids, a step closer to a model for studying degenerative disc disease, which honed my laboratory skills in qPCR, immunohistochemical analysis, microscopy, dissection, and animal primary cell culture. Additionally, my internship experience involved the engineering and manufacturing of a drop-tower setup to create burst fractures in human cadaveric vertebrae, a project that encompassed dissection and further applying my biomechanical knowledge in practical settings.Alongside my studies, I maintained a variety of side-jobs including bartending, serving, delivery, warehouse work, and tutoring. These roles have equipped me with a diverse skill set and the flexibility to adapt to various environments. My proficiency in Python and MATLAB, combined with my hands-on research and practical work experience, underpin my capacity to creatively solve complex problems in any context.I am excited to apply this comprehensive background as I transition into my professional career, ready to tackle challenges and contribute effectively in innovative and impactful ways.
