• Provided orthopedic services including trauma coverage for local Level III trauma center and routine orthopedic office. • Managed pre-operative and post-operative care for both trauma and elective orthopedic patients, including but not limited to history and physical examination, medical management while hospitalized, developing discharge plan and follow ups.• Assisted in surgeries including closer of complex wounds in for both trauma and elective orthopedic procedures with different attending physicians included arthroscopy, total joint replacement and open reductions internal fixations, as well as, complex reconstruction cases. • Assisted in wound care management of trauma and orthopedic patients included but not limited to wound vacuum application, debridement and suturing. • Responsible for first call on all traumas requiring orthopedic evaluation• Participated in all aspects of running trauma codes in Emergency Department.• Performed reductions, stabilizations and appropriate disposition to orthopedic injuries in Emergency Department with attending physician.• Diagnosed and treated orthopedic consults in the hospital in collaboration with orthopedic physician on call. • Performed local anesthesia and joint injections. • Treated and made decisions involving orthopedic urgent care at the orthopedic practice including injections, casting.
