Advisor to the Emirati Land Forces (LF) Artillery command group. Provide subject matter expertise and training in Fire Support, Cannon, and Rocket system operations. Review, develop and execute training events in support of the Commanding General's guidance and mission readiness exercises.Advisor to the UAE Land Forces Security Cooperation Working Group (along with the Interoperability and Strategic Engagement working groups), created to coordinate the execution of US Army / UAE Land Forces engagements in support of Agreed to Actions and Other Required Actions developed annually during Army Staff Talks. Provides inputs in the development of training events, visits, exchanges and (US) course participation of LF leadership.

Subject matter expert, served in the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) project of the Curriculum and Faculty Development Section tasked to design, develop, implement, and evaluate an advanced academic curriculum for select future Command and General Staff College (CGSC) graduates in order to produce a cadre of highly capable operational, tactical, and internal security planners.

Senior operations officer with special emphasis on the installation support to strategic deployments, Joint Army and Air Force (JAAF) operations & training support missions carried out at Fort Bragg’s 3 airfields and the Range Complex. Primary liaison between the DPTMS Plans & Operations (P&O) and both the Airfield Division and XVIII Airborne Corps staff. Participates with Fort Bragg Garrison directorates in the development and sustainment of complex service, support and operations Memoranda of Agreements (MOA) between the Army and Air Force, complicated by the impact of changes in regulatory and legislation requirements, long range program goals, etc. Develops statistical and narrative data to justify any changes and recommendations. Prepares and presents briefings/leads, prepares and participates in In-process Reviews (IPR) and Operational Planning Teams (OPT). Coordinates across organizational lines to resolve conflicts and makes recommendations based on knowledge of organizations, issues and requirements. Ensures validity of final submissions to higher headquarters.

Reports directly to the Operations Chief, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization & Security-Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Responsible for managing the support efforts of the installation Operations Section in the development of future installation plans/current operations command and control, Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN), mobilization and all other assignments. Lead and participate in planning teams and briefings tasked with developing plans and writing orders directing installation-wide missions. Report project plans, progress, and results to senior DPTMS leadership on installation operations and activities. Lead briefings supporting the Commanding General’s decision cycle on topics ranging from area development plans (unit moves and stationing actions) to morale/welfare events, and installation support to mission-unit training and operations. Develop and submit reports and fulfill requirements in support of Installation Management Command (IMCOM). Develop and implement management tools such as plans, schedules, and reports relating to mobilization and demobilization operations at the Fort Bragg Mobilization Station in order to track and ensure performance. Direct team activities, establish task priorities, schedule and track work assignments, provide guidance, and ensure the availability of resources. Review performance with DPTMS against targets, schedules and applicable regulations.

Provide senior level guidance to the Romanian Land Forces Commanding General and Operations Director in developing a phased implementation plan for expanding the overall training footprints (read Joint) of the Land Forces-Combat Training Center and other training areas. The focus was on increasing capabilities that fully support major allied objectives, including prepositioning, training, and other reassurance measures across Eastern Europe.

Analyzed, designed, developed and instructed Artillery School curriculum. Task Lead for Artillery Branch Courses, to include the Regimental Commander’s Course, Officers Basic & Advanced Courses, Specialty Non-Commissioned Officers Course and Instructor Qualification Courses. Oversaw 16 employees & translators responsible for development & translation of these aforementioned courses. Using the Systems Approach to Training (SAT), these courses are based upon emerging doctrine and reflective of the transformation occurring at this time within the UAE Land Forces. In a highly restrictive environment, weekly meetings included reviews, task prioritization, and gaining concurrence with ongoing efforts.

Key skills required included knowledge of operations processes and procedures, skilled in operations planning and oversight, supervised military personnel, and managed plans and programs developed by the Directorate. During a 15 month deployment in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, led operational planning activities in the Joint and Multi-National Corps-Iraq (MNC-I) Headquarters responsible for near-term future operations planning. Took broad guidance and direction and led in the development of complex plans and objectives supporting the MNC-I Commander's goals and intent resulting in a 60% reduction of violence across the country of Iraq ('08-'09). Developed plans inculcating Army Campaign Plan (ACP) and ARFORGEN requirements. Managed deployed forces and interagency efforts in support of the Central Command (CENTCOM) (geographic) commander. Prepared and presented briefings and staff papers meeting the ACP and Corps level initiatives. Provided advice and recommendations on policies, operations, and training to senior staff and the command group based upon coordination with higher (Multi-National Force-Iraq {MNF-I}), lower (Multi-National Divisions {MNDs}) and adjacent (Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula {CJSOTF-AP}, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq {MNSTC-I}, & Joint IED Defeat Organization {JIEDDO} Counter IED Ops & Intel Ctr {COIC}) headquarters and staff, often addressing controversial issues. Expertly made use of the military decision making process (MDMP) / joint operational planning process (JOPP). Gained concurrence of the proposed orders/plans from the commanding general during weekly briefings to him and his headquarters officials. Demonstrated solid foundation in management and organizational principles and practices supervising a 3-star headquarters level directorate of 60 organic personnel and up to 200+ staff representatives often split out into ad hoc teams.

Stood up the new command post (73 permanent career military and civilian employees and augmented to 166 joint & interagency personnel based upon crisis response requirements). Tasked with determining requirements for an operations command & control center providing crisis action response and interagency coordination. Provided coordination between military, federal, and state level organizations during – Hurricanes Katrina (Louisiana), Rita (Texas) & Wilma (Florida). Developed the evacuation plan of tens of thousands of citizens from the New Orleans Super Dome and Convention Center following Hurricane Katrina; planned/briefed state-level leadership and executed the evacuation in coordination with government agencies to move victims out of the affected areas.
